License your FileMaker solutions, and stay in control after they ship.

LicenseLiaison activates every customer's copy, tracks who is running what, and lets you change a license from your desk without sending a new file.

Everything about a license, decided on your server

Six license modes

Set each customer to Trial, Paid, Free, Suspended, Refunded or Expired. Their solution picks up the change the next time it checks in.

Limits that follow the customer

Cap simultaneous users and seats, set an expiry date, and decide how long a solution can run offline. Set defaults once per solution and override them for any customer.

  • Version control: tell every copy which release is current
  • Trial length and trial user limit as per-solution defaults
  • Support and purchase links delivered with the license
  • Webhooks when a copy registers or unregisters

Custom parameters

Send any name and value pairs from the server to your solution, for a whole solution or one customer. Turn on a paid add-on by changing a parameter. Nobody downloads anything, and it takes effect the next time they open the file.

From first solution to first check-in

  1. Add your solution

Give it a name and a version. LicenseLiaison creates its Solution ID.

  2. Add a license for each customer

Choose a mode, an expiry and limits. The customer's admin receives their License ID by email.

  3. Check the license from FileMaker

Your solution asks LicenseLiaison for the license when it opens and follows the answer.
